John Goodwin is a songwriter and visual artist.
A sixth generation Californian, he spent most of his life in Los Angeles before moving to Nashville. His songs have been in movies and TV shows and have also been recorded by Michael McDonald, Brad Paisley, Chris Cagle, Judy Collins, Craig Morgan, the Mavericks, Jeff Bridges, Sebastian Bach and many other amazing singers. He won a Grammy for co-writing the opening title song of the movie, Crazy Heart.
Creating visual art has been his other life passion. His artwork hangs in many homes, offices, and recording studios around the world and has also appeared in many music videos.

Some Musical Projects Featuring John Goodwin’s Work
This website was created for me by Grace Flannery. It was a real joy working with her on making this site, which I think is a cool home for pictures of my work. She's very artistic and has an amazingly generous spirit. As a fellow artist, I was happily surprised by her creative choices when it came to presenting my work.
